Welcome To The Comfort Zone
Sea Captain, 2011
From late last year.  Absolutely nothing to say about it.

Sexynightmoves, 2012

Collaboration with my good friend and bandmate, Kung Fu Luke.  Born out of a slightly half-assed drawing party on the evening of 1/2/12.

I Deserve This, 2011
New drawing.  Not a whole heck of a lot to say about it.

Untitled Paper Bag Doodle, 2009
Found this forgotten silliness during the course of some heavy duty apartment cleaning.  I have no idea where or when in 2009 this is from.  Some kind of culinary theme going on here, clearly.

I’m Made Of Hooves., 2010/2011
From the mire of slack and self-loathing comes another long-overdue Tumblr update.  Coloring and detailing on this one were done by the always masterful Toby Goodshank.

Overlong Weekend, 2010/2011
I’m long overdue for an update, so here’s a piece that was long overdue to be finished.  I feel like it makes a personal statement about giant slugs, blind pantless Caucasian males, cranial hot dogs, and the impact of levitating sentient golf courses on our society.

Ugh…, 2005/2011
Another old one (2005!) that seemed ripe for the completing (which, in this case, involved simply coloring in the background).

Untitled, 2010/2011
This one began in early 2010, but I wasn’t feeling it, so I shelved it.  Looking back on it in 2011, I didn’t hate it so much and decided to finish it.  I’ve found that digging up old, abandoned drawings and finishing them can sometimes be a good way to kick-start one’s creativity.

Smokin’ Matthau’s Ashes, 2010
And so it begins.  I figure that this drawing from earlier this year is as good a place as any to start.  ”Smokin’ Matthau’s Ashes” was what I was originally going to title this Tumblr.  I changed my mind on that.  Regardless, I was happy with how the drawing turned out.  Fun factoid: having the word “WAR” carved into the guy’s chest with a razor blade was an image I stole from Nick Zedd’s movie War Is Menstrual Envy.
